BBSI has partnered with California’s largest distributor of electrically powered lift trucks! We are seeking a dynamic Field Service Technician to join our amazing team!
We have immediate openings for Field Service Techs that are looking for stability, growth, and personal development. Enhanced with a commission plan and bonus potential!
This individual will be responsible for traveling to a customer’s facility to conduct repairs, replace parts, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative checks and maintenance on various makes and models of forklifts, lift trucks, and other material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Primarily repair electrically powered forklifts and lift trucks.
• Repair LPG, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklifts and lift trucks.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with various material handling equipment.
• Make repairs as needed, including replacing electronic components, throttle controls, wire harnesses, lift and lower controls, adjusting breaks, tightening body bolts, replacing wheels, etc.
• Conduct preventive checks and maintenance on the equipment.
• Log all performed work in the digital logbook.
• Perform manual labor, as needed, such as lifting and operating power equipment.
• If in a field position, maintain a parts inventory in a company-issued vehicle.
• Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion.
• Attend periodic technical training and classes when offered by the Service Manager.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and jobs required by the Service Manager.
Requirements:
• Ability to work with AC/DC electrical systems and components.
• Aptitude for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle during working hours.
• Ability to be coached, trained, and mentored.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed and approved.
• Must be reliable, professional, and customer service focused.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
Education & Experience:
• 2-3 years experience repairing equipment and or electrical systems, required.
• Electric forklift maintenance experience
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
