We have the following position at one of our San Bernardino locations (off Industrial Parkway) division:

Fleet Shop Supervisor

The Fleet Shop Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of all shop personnel including mechanics and welders.

SALARY RANGE: $77,000 - $105,000/year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Coordinates and directs the activities of all shop personnel including mechanics and welders
• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of hauling divisions fleet including monthly PM services and DVIR/VCR repairs
• Assigns tasks for the mechanical repair of heavy duty refuse trucks
• Maintains parts inventory and container tracking
• Will conduct monthly safety training and tailgates
• Monitors work flow and ensures tasks are completed in a timely manner and to company standards
• Administers DOT and preventative maintenance programs while ensuring shop personnel is following safe work practices

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• A valid California Driver’s License, required
• Strong organizational skills and ability to motivate large groups
• Good decision making, problem solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience managing heavy duty mechanics and thorough knowledge of engine, hydraulic and transmission mechanical repairs
• Previous experience managing a shop, required
• ASE certification for alternative fuels is a plus

PHYSICAL:

• This position requires that the individual walk, sit, stand, touch, stoop, lift and climb or move heavy objects.
