Cedar House Life Change Center is looking for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist in San Bernardino County to fill an opening immediately. The qualified Licensed Mental Health Therapist will be licensed as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.

Responsibilities for Licensed Mental Health Therapist

  • Facilitate co-occurring disorders, multi-family psychoeducation groups, and trauma groups.
  • Complete suicide risk assessments.
  • Make SUD diagnosis and determine medical necessity for level of care.
  • Provide individual and family therapy.
  • Ensure that all clinical documentation is complete, timely, and accurately reflects the services provided.
  • Ensures that the services delivered are of the highest quality and meet all standards of practice.
  • Attend weekly Treatment Team Meetings and provide input on therapeutic interventions.
  • Attend weekly individual and group supervision with Clinical Director.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and Coordinators for the provision of therapy services to clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of evidence-based practices.
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications for Licensed Mental Health Therapist

  • Have a minimum of three years work experience in chemical dependency, with an MA in Psychology, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Co-Occurring Disorders, along with Substance Use Disorder and the recovery process.
  • Knowledge and experience with existing compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills maintaining productive working relationships with staff
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills
