As a MIG Welder, your duties may include the following:
• Sets up and operates equipment to weld parts of sheet metal according to blueprints or product specifications.
• Reads prints, work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as quantity, dimensions and/or tolerances.
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
• Performs periodic checks on output; measures completed parts to verify conformance to specifications such as but not limited to; squareness, heat penetration, and distortion of materials.
• Uses measuring instruments at 100% accuracy relying on full working knowledge and experience.
• Maintains high level of productivity and produces quality parts.
• Operates and calibrates welding equipment according to various material thickness.
• Performs daily and weekly cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime.
• Works under minimal to no supervision.
• Identifies equipment, production and/or parts issues; troubleshoots issues with management and appropriate personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience with welding operations, preferably MIG
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
This position requires some physical abilities including:
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to walk; sit; stand; for up to 10 hours
- Ability to reach, feel, grasp, grip, carry, push, and pull.
- Experience working HVAC is a plus but not required

Schedule: Morning shift, overtime and Saturdays as needed.
Pay Range: $21- $23 per hour (DOE)
