Description
Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker to support our AmRep Brand in our Ontario, CA manufacturing operation. The Tool & Die Maker works from blue prints, sketches, and verbal communication in order to make, rework and repair a wide variety of parts or molds to use in our manufacturing facility. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more.
Responsibilities
- Craft dies and tools to use in the production floor
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any complicated dies; test equipment
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on existing molds per set schedule.
- Manufacture components as required.
- Will conduct mold change-overs as required.
- Perform 5S duties as required.
- Will work under supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude required
- 3+ years’ experience in jig and fixture building preferred
- Ability to set up and operate conventional lathes, honing machines, surface grinders, hydraulic presses, and other tool room machinery.
- Ability to read and understand process instructions, which reflect product specifications, dimensional requirements, tolerances, etc. in order to manufacture quality product required.
- Ability to use basic shop math to meet job requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions required
- Willing attitude and team oriented
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk and stand 100% of shift
