Job description

South Star Logistics, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual for our swing shift warehouse team. The interested party should be willing and able to work overtime when needed and be ready to work as part of a team to make sure the job gets completed.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments to determine what needs to be loaded/unloaded
• Organize warehouse space
• Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
• Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
• Keep warehouse and property clean and organized daily

Requirements

• Proven warehouse experience
• Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
• Adequate knowledge of warehouse organization and staging
• Ability to lift or move heavy products
• High school diploma
• Occasional overtime'
• Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a plus
• Ability to use technology i.e., Microsoft Office a plus
