Cedar House Life Change Center (CHLCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. What started as a small 12-bed alcohol treatment facility for men in 1973, named "Amigo House", is now a 125-bed treatment facility and we are growing! The staff at Cedar House is passionate and dedicated to improving the lives of those suffering from Substance Use Disorders.

DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • The LVN acts as a member of the Treatment Team by providing nursing experience to the objectives and goals of individual treatment planning.
  • The LVN reviews and signs off on Health Questionnaires and uploads them into our EHR.
  • Review all incoming medications and ensure clients have required clearances.
  • Ensures that PPD/TB testing for all clients is done in a timely manner and records are maintained.
  • The LVN shall assist the physician or physician’s assistant when they are conducting physical exams.
  • Will do rounds and provide nursing supervision in Withdrawal Management and document in the client record.
  • The LVN will also perform any duties assigned by the physician or PA.
  • The LVN shall instruct the staff in areas related to nursing/medical conditions necessary in controlling a medical/psychiatric emergency.
  • Ensure all withdrawal management clients are checked in the CURES database and upload the documents into our EHR. 
  • Coordinate and provide MAT services.
  • And such other duties and/or responsibilities as are assigned.
Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Will have at least two years of experience working with chemically dependent adults.
  • LVN license and current CPR and PPD/TB injections experience.
  • Must understand the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and its recovery.
  • Must have a good understanding of nursing functions and operations related to additions.
  • Must have leadership capabilities.
  • Must understand the state, county, and CARF requirements related to the medical department.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills maintaining productive working relationships with staff.
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
