Shift Leader Position Overview: The Shift Leader at Paws and Claws Depot assists the store management in ensuring a smooth-running operation during assigned shifts. This role involves leadership responsibilities, such as supervising team members, ensuring customer satisfaction, and overseeing daily tasks. 

Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate the team during assigned shifts to ensure excellent customer service Manage store operations when managers are not present, including opening and closing the store Handle customer issues or complaints and resolve them promptly Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking products as needed Supervise the health and care of live animals in the store Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards Assist with training new associates and providing feedback on performance Support sales and merchandising efforts to drive customer engagement 

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; some college preferred 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership role Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent communication and team-building abilities Knowledge of pet products and care Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
